A For Ara
A for Ara is an attempt to honour the art of high fidelity audio for the home. While pleasing on the eye, all A for Ara speakers are made for the ear first: Their solid hardwood horns are an instantiation of form following function—acting as a coupling device, doing for sound what a lens does for light (metaphorically speaking).
Ara means altar; the speakers aim to encourage devotion: active listening, giving our whole-selves to music. A for Ara is a collaboration between Robert Kalin and William Cowan based in Catskill, New York, US.
