Men's Overcoat in Piacenza Alashan 3 ply Cashmere
£11,950.00

One of only four pieces of its kind, made exclusively for Blue Mountain School.
Designed based upon a modified early 1980s Italian wide shoulder, raglan sleeve dropped notch lapel jacket pattern, and from extensive tailoring research. The coat is cut from 550 gram, super soft 3-ply Alashan cashmere, woven by Fratelli Piacenza, the oldest woollen mill in the world in Pollone Biella, Italy, and lined with pure, 16-momme silk, made exclusively by the Brenna family of Como.
The coat is then individually hand-dyed and washed in Cavarzere, Venice, at the GBS super workrooms, to achieve maximum softness, patina, and drape. The dye technique required 2 days of expert work to achieve its unique colouring.
The design features hand cut welts, a surgeon’s cuff design, and real-horn buttons, made exclusively by Claudio and Cynthia Fontana of Parma, Italy.
